    High petrol prices frequently cause inflation surges throughout Africa, as the cost of food, essential products, and services rises in tandem.

    5. Nigeria: $0.572 per liter
    6. Sudan: $0.700 per liter
    7. Ethiopia: $0.856 per liter
    8. Tunisia: $0.870 per liter
    9. Liberia: $0.887 per liter
    10. Democratic Republic of Congo: $1.028 per liter 
    These prices are generally lower in countries that are oil producers and exporters, and where governments might have policies like fuel subsidies to keep prices down for their citizens. The global average price of gasoline per liter is approximately $1.31.
