State in Nigeria has the highest gold



Osun State is often cited as having the largest concentration of gold in Nigeria, with the Segilola Gold Project located there, but significant deposits are also found in Zamfara State, Kwara State, Bauchi State, and Niger State.

  • Osun State: Holds the Segilola Gold Project, Nigeria's most advanced gold project, and has areas designated for local miners. 

  • Zamfara State: Possesses significant gold deposits and has seen much recent activity in mining. 

  • Kwara State: Contains the Alagbede gold deposit with gold-bearing quartz veins, as noted by the Nigeria Geological Survey Agency (NGSA). 

  • Bauchi State: Gold mineralization is found in the Gada-Biu area. 

  • Niger State: Home to significant deposits of gold, along with other minerals. 

It is important to note that while many states have gold deposits, identifying the "richest" can depend on factors like the presence of large-scale mines, economic activity, and the extent of easily accessible deposits.
