From Kano to the World: Indomie Fuels BUK Student’s Guinness World Record Dream

For Bayero University Kano (BUK) student, Collins Whitworth, art has always been more than a passion, it’s a pathway to history. On October 1st, 2025, Collins will step into the global spotlight as he attempts to set not one, but two Guinness World Records in face painting.

The targets are: painting 12+ faces in 3 minutes and 220+ faces in 1 hour as he is motivated to beat the current record held by Emilia Zakonnova which is 12 faces painted in 3 minutes, archived 30th July 2025. Collins is no stranger to bold challenges. While his 2024 attempt at a Guinness World Record fell short, the experience gave him the drive and resilience to push forward with greater determination.

“I learned a lot from my first attempt. This time, I’m prepared, focused, and determined. With Indomie backing me, I believe we can make history together,” Collins said.
